Toothbrush and tongue cleaner, inseparable companions

Dentaid News

Do you brush your teeth but don't clean your tongue? Tooth brushing and tongue cleaning should be inseparable for proper oral hygiene.

We all have the habit of brushing our teeth daily, but do we clean our tongues? There are many bacteria that build up on your tongue, which is why proper oral hygiene must combine toothbrushing and tongue cleaning.

To brush your teeth properly, it is very important you use a good toothbrush adapted to your needs, and to remove the layer of biofilm that builds up to the extent possible. VITIS® offers a wide range of toothbrushes with the ideal characteristics to carry out good oral hygiene and to eliminate that biofilm.

The broad range of VITIS brushes adapts to all the needs of every user, as brush choice is very important for proper oral hygiene.

After brushing your teeth by quadrants, dedicating the necessary time and using the right toothpaste, you need to continue by cleaning your tongue, dragging the cleaner across the surface of the tongue from rear to front.

A large number of bacteria builds up on your tongue every day, and this may sometimes cause bad breath. That is why it is so important to clean it every day with the use of a tongue cleaner. If you see a whitish or even yellowish coating on your tongue, it is a sign that your tongue is not clean. This coating is not easily removed by brushing, so the HALITA tongue cleaner is needed, featuring a wave-like contour specifically designed to adapt to the central depression of the tongue, and which scrapes the surface and removes the coating of bacteria that builds up there.

Remember that for proper oral hygiene, the VITIS toothbrush and the HALITA Tongue Cleaner must be used jointly to ensure improved hygiene and therefore prevent other health problems and disorders such as bad breath.

Do not forget to change your tongue cleaner and your brush every 3 months or when the filaments begin to deteriorate. Proper oral hygiene is essential for good oral health.
