From November 15 to 17, the 46th Annual SEPA Meeting and the 2nd SEPA Oral Hygiene Meeting were held in Madrid, representing one of the most important Dentistry events in Spain and gathering over 1000 professionals, including dentists and dental hygienists. 

DENTAID, Platinum Sponsor of the Spanish Society for Periodontology and Osseointegration, attended the Annual SEPA Meeting. Innovation and promoting research and awareness of future trends in oral health were the main topics addressed at the event. 

Within the trade exhibit, DENTAID introduced its latest launches, including the revolutionary and innovative DENTAID® nanorepair technology and the all new Waterpik® Complete Care Irrigator (WP-900). 

Scientific Presence 

As part of one of the most significant dental encounters of the year in Spain, DENTAID sponsored two sessions: a first conference given by Dr. A.J. van Winkelhoff, Professor in Oral and Medical Microbiology at the University Medical Center of Groningen, The Netherlands, focused on Chemotherapeutics in peri-implantitis, stressing the importance of chemical treatment for peri-implant diseases. 

The second lecture, delivered by Dr. Vanessa Blanc, Director of the R&D&I Department at DENTAID, and Dr. Karen Romero, Head of the company’s Medical Department, covered the importance of Oral Microbiology for the dental hygienist as a basic tool for identifying oral diseases (www.slideshare.net/ Dentaid/slideshare-sepa2012). 

Also, the Research Team at DENTAID disclosed the outcomes of six scientific studies in poster format, of which four were finalists. These scientific posters formed part of a series of projects that are currently being conducted in the R&D&I Department.
